Your Guide To Doing Less and Getting Better Results in 2011

Occam’s Razor:

It is vain to do with more what can be done with less. -William of Occam (c. 1288-1348)

Pareto Principle:

80% of the outputs result from 20% of the inputs.

80% of the consequences flow from 20% of the causes.

80% of the results come from 20% of the effort and time.

80% of company profits come from 20% of the products and customers.

80% of all stock market gains are realized by 20% of the investors and 20% of an individual portfolio.

Business Resources:

Outsourcing sites to save time:

Craigslist– You can find local college kids or even people in different countries to do tasks for you.

Fiverr– Fiverr is a place for people to share things they’re willing to do for $5: Funny and Bizarre, Social Marketing, Graphics, Advertising, Technology, Business,

OnlineJobs.ph – OnlineJobs.ph is one of my favorite places for finding outsourcers. It’s based in the Philippines and has a lot of qualified people.

Logo Design

Logo Nerds– I recommend Logo Nerds because it is in-expensive and effective. They will work until you have a design you really like. This is pretty cool in my mind, so it’s worth using if you’re looking to re-brand yourself.

Book Resources

The Four Hour Work Week– The guide to minimizing work and maximizing fun. A must have resource in my opinion.

The Four Hour Body– tons of information about minimizing workouts for maximum results, some information on becoming super-human and even information on improving your sex life.

No BS Time Management for Entrepreneurs– A great book by Dan Kennedy on time management and getting the most out of your day.

Questions to ask yourself to make sure you implement these in 2011:

1) Which 20% of sources are causing 80% of my problems and unhappiness?

2) Which 20% of sources are resulting in 80% of my desired outcomes and happiness?

3) What can I eliminate or outsource that will free up my time to spend on the 20% that actually matters?

I want to have this post be a continuous guide to helping people. So if you have any resources that you would like to share, please leave a link below in the comments so I can add them to the post. Thanks!
