Why I Changed My Backyard

Why I Changed My Backyard…

A few years back I moved out of NY where I was born and raised and spent 22 years of my life.

Instead of settling in a place where I wasn’t truly happy, I decided to switch up my location and head to a place where I knew there would be sun daily. I packed up my car and headed down to life uncharted down in Florida.

What I noticed while I was there was that my life started to change dramatically. Heading down to Florida was a life changing moment for me. It was a time in which I wasn’t really sure what I wanted to do in life or with my “career” in business. I knew that I wanted to work for myself, but I wasn’t always in a position of this happening.

Stepping out of my comfort zone by moving to a new place did something for me.

It changed me.

It changed me in a way that I am forever grateful for. It showed me that it was alright to step out of my comfort zone and to step into a place that I wasn’t 100% comfortable in being.

Have you ever thought about changing your backyard?

What places or place have you been or always wanted to go to?

What was it about this place that you loved?

Was it a certain amount of sunshine or snow that made you happy?

Was it certain noises that you heard or certain animals that were running around you?

For me, it was the sounds of the ocean and tropical birds flying around. Little crabs crawling all over the place, seeing lizards running all over and hearing those birds chirping makes me extremely happy.

Here’s my current backyard:

So what I’ve decided to do is to make sure that my backyard has the ocean in it, or is at least near enough to an ocean that I can go to the ocean to either surf or just listen to the waves and meditate.

Can’t even think what I’d want for backyard. So stressed with unemployment. In the past year and half my mom and sister have passed away and was in car wreck which I broke my shoulder. Not to be complaining but I have tried Internet projects projects which always ended up being scams. Now we are so broke we are unable to pay majority of our bills.

@Debbie Things will get better. Sometimes we experience tough times in order to help us appreciate the really good times that will happen later on.
