7. Communication
Vital. Vital. Vital. We’ve got 2 ears and 1 mouth for a reason. Listen twice as much as you talk. This allows us to learn about others and allows for us to learn about better ways that our product/service can help others. This also allows us to learn more, leading to more success for us!
All of the traits we have discussed in this post would be pretty redundant without the ability to get your message across to the relevant parties. If you cannot inspire, enthuse, motivate and excite people about your dreams then they will be that much harder to achieve. Excellent communication skills are critical in enabling you to interact well with people of varying personalities and values, many of whom will not necessarily share your passion or motivation. You will need to communicate yourself out of the many roadblocks that you will undoubtedly run into.
Being a more effective communicator takes time and can be learned. You can get a head start with this by taking a Dale Carnegie Course or joining Toastmasters.
Become an exceptional person, start conversations with people when you are out doing your daily chores. Interacting with people is fun and you never know, you might meet someone really cool or maybe an awesome girl/guy to date!
I find that everywhere I go I am starting more and more conversations with people and I’ve been meeting awesome people! I’ve gotten some more dates (which was one of my New Year’s Resolutions) and I’m meeting some really cool girls to hang out with, which is great. Attractive and interesting girls kickass so if you are one, let me know and maybe we can grab some tea or lunch and enjoy each others company (just don’t fall in love with me )
