Hello and welcome to my blog. Over the past two years my blog has changed quite a bit. I originally started my blog because I was trying to brand myself as a social media expert and internet marketer, which has worked great because that’s now what I am.
Over the past 2 years of blogging I’ve learned hundreds if not thousands of things that have helped me grow my business and my personal life. I’ve learned about what people want to hear, as well as what people could care less about hearing. I’ve learned how to do SEO so that I can get a website ranked #1 within 24 hours and how I can take down a competitive keyword by reverse-funneling my competitor’s site. I’ve learned proper ways to use social media as well as how to become a spammer on social media and get your account banned.
However, I haven’t really used my blog as a “personal blog” because I’d been using this more for all the business stuff I have been doing(including promotions for products). Personal blogs are supposed to be about the person who created it and used as a sort of diary to what’s happening in the owners life. I haven’t ever kept a diary because I honestly felt like it was something only young girls did.
However, the more that I learn about personal development and learn about becoming a better man, the more I realize that I could use something like a diary to reflect back upon. It’s funny how when we take the time to actually write out our thoughts, we can better understand why we think a certain way and can find the barriers that we’re putting up in our own lives. I want to improve constantly and feel that changing the direction of this blog is one of my first major steps to improving myself. It will probably make me a little more vulnerable, but it will help me to see who I am becoming and if it’s really the person I want to grow up to be.
I don’t mean to turn anyone off who’s been a follower of my blog for some time. I know that there are a lot of you out there and I appreciate every one of you for staying with me and actually reading the stuff that I was writing. It means more to me than you can ever know. I will still be doing all the business stuff, but it won’t be on this blog anymore.
Also for those of you who’ve followed me for anytime, you’ve probably gotten a few tips and tricks from me that have helped you grow your business. I’m letting you know that over at BrainSmartSuccess.com I will be doing the same thing and more over there.
I’ll be switching all of my business teaching, training and consulting over to Brain Smart Success. If you didn’t know yet, I started Brain Smart Success with my father as a way of us using our combined skills to build a business. We have been fascinated by the brain and finding smarter ways of getting more success and having more fun which is why we started the business.
He’s been one of my biggest business mentors my whole life and is often the person to flat out tell me when something I’m doing is great or stupid. Hey I need people like that in my life and am grateful that he can be straight up with me about that kind of stuff.
This means that i’ll be using WhosChrisHughes.com to share some fun stuff I’m doing, lessons I learn at different points in my life, book reviews and some personal stuff. At this point, I don’t know how personal the stuff I share will be so I can’t promise you anything. I might write a blog post all about what I’m doing for workouts or even write about how I end up traveling around living on peoples couches (if that happens). At this point it’s really up in the air so your guess is as good as mine.
My only hope is that this blog will provide you value in some way or another. I’m hoping that the things I do now will work out and that I’ll be able to live the life I’ve only ever dreamed of.
