Something that I’ve been getting better at is getting shit done.
Yes. I’ve been getting better at just doing shit. Like Nike says, “Just Do It”.
It works wonders when you take action on this simple concept.
Sure, a lot of the time the stuff you have to do sucks and doesn’t turn out as good as I would ultimately like it to. But I learn from it.
When I learn, I can improve.
When I improve, I make better stuff that helps more people.
This has more of a positive impact and I’m actually happy with what I accomplish.
Another benefit of this is that I can get feedback. If I’m simply just thinking about doing stuff, I can’t get feedback on what I’ve done…because nothing gets done! When I actually do stuff, I can get feedback.
Are you on the fence about something?
Are you stuck on finding the courage to do something?
Are you scared?
Doing what you are scared to do is by far the easiest way to grow as a person and a professional.
Do What Scares You
Is there something that you have been putting off because it scares you?
I personally experience things like this a lot and when I recognize this, I take action. I do the thing before I can think about it and convince myself that it’s better if I don’t do it.
By putting myself in a position like this, I often get to experience things that I wouldn’t have been able to if I didn’t take action.
Taking action puts all things into possibility.
The next time you are stuck on doing something, just do it. The majority of times that you do these things, you will notice a positive benefit.
Sure, sometimes bad stuff happens.
But I believe in the motto of “It’s always better to ask for forgiveness than permission”
To me, this means that no one needs to give me permission to do something. If something seems like it could benefit you, just do it.
