Comedy, to me, is an amazingly, fascinating talent and is extremely difficult to perfect…thus, its almost impossible to pull it off in a grand fashion. But Dumb and Dumber 1994 did just that. It has all the wonderful, hilarious, zany magic that’s held together with the fun, perfectly-timed goofy glue of Carey’s and Daniel’s relationship. They just melted together as one big side-busting laugh after another. Now, for Dumb and Dumber To 2014. You know how people force out a laugh to a joke they don’t really get? That’s how I felt when I watched “D&D To”. I caught myself…fake-laughing because I wanted it to be funny…I really did. And I kept asking myself…”It’s funny, right?…C’mon…just say its funny!”. But the truth is, it wasn’t funny. As a matter of fact, it was almost never funny. I felt crushed…beside myself crushed. I mean, the one person that made me laugh hysterically (to almost passing out) just a couple of decades ago…couldn’t even get a genuine, light chuckle out of me now. It possesses almost none of the goofy glue in D&D1…and I hate to say it, but it’s possibly the most unfunny mainstream comedy film I have ever seen. I’m in mourning.
