Good points Chris – a friend of mine mentioned just this week that he felt simply acquiring knowledge was a form of hedonism. In other words it is self serving. I think that is a little strong but this is a similar point to the one you are making – it is the application of that knowledge that is important.

However this is also an issue – often times when someone has a lot of knowledge they attempt to display that, perhaps talk down to others, be condescending etc. rather than use it to help other people get better i.e. to teach, inform, help. Power can be used for good or ill of course – we have to make sure that we use it wisely!

Thanks Jerry. I agree with you about people sometimes talking down to others because they don’t know that information. I try as much as I can to share the information I learn with others and try not to be putting others down in my videos/articles.

We do need to use power for good so that we can enjoy a good life and help others, even if we get nothing out of it but the feeling of helping another.

I hope that my information is coming across as a way of helping and not talking down to anyone. If it is, I’d like for anyone to let me know so that I can be more aware of it.

    Thanks for the input!

hey Chris, this is a valuable point that bears repeating, again and again in different ways…because we can’t hear it enough! Thanks for that! I heard Tony Robbins for the first time today and he was saying the same thing…keep on teaching us please :)
