How to Improve Your Self-Esteem Part 2

this is part 2 of the How to Improve Your Self-Esteem series. If you haven’t read part 1 yet, check it out here.

After you’ve figured out WHY you are unhappy, you have to figure out what you actually want..

What Do You Want?

Before we can continue on to living our dream life we have to know what it looks like, right? (You can nod your head and agree if you agree)

In this post, we’re going to use the financial example from the previous post. I’m going to use terms related to finances but you can use this for any of the above issues.

The first problem with finances is knowing exactly where you stand right at this moment. Are you $10,000 in debt or living paycheck to paycheck with no sign of getting ahead? Be honest with yourself, no one but you is going to see this information.

Once you figure this out, you will need to find out exactly how much it is going to take to get you out of debt. You’ll need to do the same activity to figure out  how much your dream life will cost.

A mentor of mine, Tim Ferriss, provides a valuable resource about finding your Ideal Lifestyle Cost. You can use the cost found here to figure out exactly how much money you need to make in order to get out of your financial position and to start living your ideal life.

When I did this activity, I found out that living the crazy ideal life I had would only cost me $20,000 a month. This was with having a house in a place that I want to live as well as owning my dream car, the Tesla Roadster 2.5 Sport.  I thought it would be like $40,538 or something way higher. Turns out that it isn’t that expensive and is a goal that I now have.

For my normal lifestyle goal, I only need to make $10,000 a month.

Okay after finding out your position and what you’re future goal is you will need to start to create a plan towards achieving this.

Writing Your Ideal Life Plan

I’m someone who firmly believes in writing down goals. Not on my computer, but on a piece of paper with a pen. In fact, I have a goal for the re-release of my Juggling Secrets course that I know I will hit because of how awesome I’m making this course.

Part of my plan for this course is to sell 20 of those courses each month at $47. That’s an extra $940 for me. Well, honestly with the fees from Clickbank and paying affiliates it will probably be about $500-$600 extra each month. When I improve the conversions and get to 1-2 sales a day with that course, I will be super pumped because I’ll be making over $1,000 from this course.

I know that I’m going to need to work my ass off to get to this point and to create 10 products that sell enough to meet my goals, but I know I will achieve it. When I have 10 products that make me $1,000 each month, I’ll reach my $10,000 a month goal from information products.

Now you might not have any idea of what you can create right now to sell as an information product, or you might not even want to create an information product. You might be doing this activity so you can improve your relationships, the process is the same.

Instead of creating products to sell, you will be developing traits that will be attractive to the opposite sex. For the guys out there, maybe you can learn a little something about art and education instead of only focusing on sports. For the ladies, maybe you can take the time to understand why a man loves watching sports. (hint: we’re competitive as hell, but you probably already know that)

If you are doing this for relationships, take the time to think about what you truly want in a relationship and be clear about it. You might need to stop trying to seduce that stripper if you are looking to find a girl to bring home to your mom. I’m not saying there’s anything wrong with strippers, but from what I’ve read about their industry they aren’t the greatest girl to take home to mom. Maybe instead you could be spending time at the happy hour for business professionals or spend time at networking groups for people who are interested in the same things you are interested in.
