I came across this quote:

Beginning today, set an intention and a relentless focus on living your life as the greatest person you can be, in all situations. Demand that you demonstrate a strength of character in such a way that you find pride in who you are, and that others see you as a role model.

in the book The Charge by Brendon Burchard and had to share it.

In this video I talk about becoming your own personal role model and why it’s important to do things that others can look up to.

Find Good Role Models

It’s important to find role models that are living the type of life that you want to be living in a few years. Try to find people who truly embody what you aspire to be and start to learn about their daily habits.

What do these people do on a daily basis that allows them to have this sort of level of success?

Do they watch TV?

Do they read a book a week?

Do they exercise 5-7 times a week?

For my mentors they don’t watch much tv, read about a book a week and exercise daily. These are all habits that I work on developing and have had a major impact on my health and overall happiness.

Find Pride In Who You Are

Today you are You, that is truer than true. There is no one alive who is Youer than You.
– Dr. Seuss

While you may think Dr. Seuss is only for kids, he has instilled in us a lot of valuable lessons.

When you learn to take pride in who you are, you will start to align with more people who are like you.

You will be able to communicate with people on a different level and have more meaningful relationships with people. You’ll be able to truly connect with these people.

There is an exercise that will help you find your true “core identity” and it’s by one of my business mentors. Good ole Frank Kern.

This is from his Core Influence product and has had a major impact on my life. It’s long, but worth a watch if you have the time.
(Let’s be honest, you can make time)
